Do I need to pay a deposit to book an appointment?
No deposit is required to book your appointment, however, if you need to reschedule without prior notice or fail to attend your appointment without notifying us by phone or text at least 2-3 days in advance, or if the reason given for the rescheduling or cancellation is deemed unreasonable.
There is no deposit needed for rescheduling if you notify us 2-3 days before your appointment or in the case of an emergency. We understand that unexpected situations can arise and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Is the procedure guaranteed?
If adjustments are needed, you are welcome to return within six months of your last touch-up session. Adjustments may include changing the thickness of the eyebrows (remember, we can make them thicker, not thinner) or adding more hair strokes. These adjustments are offered at no additional charge, provided that proper after care has been performed.
My priority is to ensure that my clients are completely satisfied with their results. While I strive to achieve natural-looking and beautiful results, it's important to understand that once pigment is applied to the skin, it cannot be removed. My goal is to provide results that enhance your natural beauty.
How long does Microblading / 3D Nano Brows and Shading last?
Semi-permanent makeup or micropigmentation techniques gradually fade over time, typically lasting 8 months to 2 years or sometimes longer. Longevity varies from person to person and depends on factors such as skin type, aftercare, personal care routine and sun exposure.
- Oily Skin: Approximately 8 months.
- Dry Skin: Between 18 and 24 months.
- Mixed Skin: Approximately 18 months.
- Normal Skin: Between 18 and 24+ months.
Yearly touch-ups are recommended to maintain the desired look and make any necessary changes, such as transitioning from powder brows to combo brows, or refreshing faded shading with microblading.
Is there any pain involved during the process?
At Pretty Ink, we use a highly effective topical anesthetic cream to minimize any discomfort during the treatment. Unlike traditional tattooing methods, most clients report experiencing little to no pain. In fact, 99% of clients often find the procedure so relaxing that they fall asleep during the three-hour session. To briefly describe how each technique feels:
- Microblading: Involves making micro-cuts with a small blade, which feels similar to a paper cut.
- Shading and 3D Nano Brows: These techniques tend to feel more like a prickly sensation.
Our goal is to ensure your comfort throughout the entire process.
How long does the procedure take?
The procedure typically takes around three hours to complete. Please be mindful of this time frame when booking your appointment to ensure you can relax and enjoy the process without any time constraints.
What healing time and care is required?
You can resume your daily routine after the procedure, but certain activities should be avoided to ensure proper healing:
- Sweating and Exercise: Avoid activities that cause excessive sweating, heavy exercise, or sauna use. We aim to keep the treated area moisturized, not sweaty or oily.
- Water Exposure: Ensure your brows stay dry for the first week; swimming should be avoided.
- Makeup and Creams: Avoid using makeup and creams on the treated area, except for those provided by your artist.
- Handling the Treated Area: Do not touch, scratch, rub, itch, or pick at the treated area.
Healing time:
- Week 1-2: Brows will appear darker; this is the scabbing/peeling phase.
- Week 3: Brows may appear patchy and will fade.
- Week 4: Color will return to its true healed shade with an expected 30% fading.
Patience is key. Remember, this is a gradual process. Avoid picking at scabs to prevent patchiness and scarring.
